The Rescuer Book Launch

For being the shortest month of the year, February was a whirlwind for me and The Rescuer. For starters, it was the month I became a PUBLISHED AUTHOR!

That’s right, The Rescuer is now available for purchase through multiple online resources including Amazon. I hope you all have had the opportunity to at least pick up a copy, even if you haven’t read it yet.

Planning my book launch also kept me very busy. Approving final tweaks, ordering books, writing press releases, planning a party, printing fliers, sending invites—it was a lot of work, but it was WORTH IT. I had so much fun at my book launch. I was worried I’d be too stressed to celebrate, especially since my book shipment was still on a UPS truck during setting up, and I was worried the books wouldn’t come in time. Thankfully, they were delivered with seconds to spare, and we had paperbacks on hand for purchase.

Despite the hiccups, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening It was invigorating to talk about my writing with people. To talk about my story, and how I got started, and what The Rescuer means to me.

One of the smartest things I did was line up a photographer for the event. I’m so grateful to Photography by Michelle for recording the memories for me.

I hope you enjoy seeing some of the photos from my event. Hyping my book was amazing and I can’t wait for the text time I get to do it.

The bakery did such a good job on my cake and it tasted AMAZING! The chocolate cake with cherry filling was delish and received many compliments.
I provided free bookmarks to anyone who attended the event, as well as a game to guess the final word count on the novel. In case you’re interested, The Rescuer is 66,766 words long .
My signing table and my five favorite books were ready to go. These books were raffled off as a grand prize to anyone who bought The Rescuer at the event.
Reading my first chapter to an audience was a fun moment. I got to personally introduce everyone to Prok Zandin, the star of my story. The character that I wrote into a book now lives and walks in the imaginations and hearts of many.
I was thrilled to get to sign books at the party. This might have been the part I enjoyed the most because it was a chance at a face-to-face meeting with a reader eagerly holding my book in their hands.

I am so grateful for all the support I received from friends and book-lovers who came out for me and The Rescuer. If you’ve read the book and enjoyed it, would you spread the word about it? Word-of-mouth recommendation is a powerful motivator. Leaving an Amazon review is another way you can help me out. You can also recommend the title to your local library.

As for me, I’m looking forward to curling up with a good drink and a sweet treat and settling in to read MY BOOK for the very first time.
